CHURCHVILLE, N.Y. — Churchville-Chili Central School District voters approved Phase VII of the district’s capital project Monday by a vote of 270 to 69.
The $49,890.000 project focuses on various key needs throughout the district, including a new grounds building for operations and maintenance staff; upgrades to classrooms, cafeterias, playground and infrastructure in the elementary schools; and updates in the transportation center.
The project will be funded through state aid and the Capital Reserve Fund, with no impact to the local tax share.
“This project allows us to address needs at our elementary schools that are not possible through our regular operating budget,” Superintendent Carmine Peluso stated in a release from the district. “Thank you to our voters for continuing to support our students and our schools.”
It follows a “Phase VI” project approved by voters in 2022, focusing on middle school upgrades and athletic facilities.
