Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, shared a rare photo of their mother, Frances Shand Kydd, highlighting just how much she and his late sister resembled one another.
Spencer shared a black-and-white image of Kydd on Instagram to honor his mother's 90th birthday. She died in 2004 at the age of 68.

He wrote, "I gave the eulogy at her funeral - recalling all the joy she brought and gave; as well as reflecting on the terrible ordeal she had to endure, burying two of her children. [Kydd gave birth to a son named John, who died within hours of his birth in 1960, four years before Diana was born].

Spencer concluded, "I love this photograph of her, taken by my father, when she was young and happy, and glamorous in a very understated way. Coincidentally, on the very same day she was born, January 20, 1936, King George V died, 1 mile away, in Sandringham House."
Spencer's Instagram followers couldn't believe the striking resemblance between Diana and her late mother. They shared their thoughts in the post's comments section.
