British TV legend Les Dennis is dusting off his tap shoes and returning to the stage this year by joining the touring cast of Waitress the Musical.
The Coronation Street star will be joining fellow soap actor Sandra Marvin, West End icon Carrie Hope Fletcher and Evelyn Hoskins for the musical's upcoming UK and Ireland run.
Dennis's 50-year career in show business has included a ton of theatre credits, including playing Grandad Trotter in Only Fools and Horses and King Arthur in Spamalot. The Family Fortunes host will be playing the role of Joe across the show's eight month run.
Meanwhile Marvin, best known for the part of Jessie Dingle in Emmerdale, is reprising the role of Becky, having previously appeared on both the West End and on tour.
The soap actress has dozens of theatre credits under her belt including Hairspray, Chicago and Sister Act.
Waitress tells the story of Jenna, an expert pie maker in a small town, who dreams of a way out of her loveless marriage when a baking contest in a nearby county offers her a chance at a new life.
This production celebrates 10 years since the show first premiered on Broadway, and will travel around nearly 30 venues in the UK and Ireland, starting from this March to October.
