That said, I do wish the ROCKSTER AIR 2 included wheels and a pull handle. Given its size and weight, a rolling design would make moving it between rooms or outdoor spaces much more convenient, especially over longer distances.

This is without question the loudest speaker I have ever personally used. I took it to a large open area and turned it all the way up, and it filled the space with sound very quickly. With the bass and treble knobs cranked up, the speaker delivers punchy bass that can easily shake a house when the volume is pushed to its limits. Despite the power, the sound remains surprisingly clean and controlled.

With most Bluetooth speakers, I prefer to max out the volume on the speaker itself and then control the listening level from my phone. That approach works here since the speaker volume and device volume are separate. However, when the speaker is turned off or auto powers down, it does not remember the last volume setting and defaults back to about halfway when powered on again. The bass and treble settings do retain their positions, which makes the volume behavior stand out even more. I wish the master volume would also remember where it was last set.

I keep the speaker positioned in a corner, and the Auto Power feature allows me to turn it on remotely just by connecting via Bluetooth from my phone. That said, because the volume resets, I still need to walk over to the unit to turn the volume back up to my preferred level. It is not a deal breaker, but it is something worth noting in day to day use.
