In the first lengthy interview of 2026, following his separation from his wife, Urban appeared on The Experience, a YouTube show hosted by session pro and highly respected producer Dan Huff. “And just being aware that I’m aware,” he added. “That I’m none of the voices in my head — I’m just the one listening. Because it simplifies everything and brings it right back to a very calm, steady, grounded place, but it’s a constant process.”
Simplicity Is at the Top of Keith Urban List for 2026
Though his split from Kidman was not mentioned during the chat, Urban's wishes seemed to include not wanting to overcomplicate things heading into the next 12 months. The Aussie shared a thought-provoking concept that one of his friends once told him.
“A friend of mine said, just work on how you introduce yourself to the day,” Urban shared. “I thought that was an absolutely beautiful phrase. He said to me, ‘How do you introduce yourself to the day, every day?’ And I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, I love that. I love that… You get to do it every day.”
“That’s where I’m at,” he added. “Simplifying. Simplifying is my journey this year.”
Kidman filed for divorce back in September 2025. The two stars, who shared daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, were married for 19 years. According to USA Today, the former couple’s divorce was officially finalized on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026.
