They released their debut album Tornemted a year later, and multiple albums throughout the 2000s. The band took a hiatus in 2012, reuniting briefly in 2014 and 2017, before getting back together officially in 2019. The last album they put out was Confessions of the Fallen in 2023.
The "Outside" singer released his debut EP as a solo artist in July 2010 via Stroudavarious Records, then The Road, his first studio record, two years later. While balancing his band and solo career, he released a total of five studio albums, with his most recent being The Hillin 2024. Unlike the alternative metal and grunge sound Staind is known for, Lewis' genre as a solo artist is country.

In addition, he contributed to Sevendust's song "Follow," as well as "Bleed" and "Send in the Clowns" by 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage. He's also featured on Jimmie's Chicken Shack's song "Falling Out."
