The Chase Around the World is a brand new series taking contestants on a global adventure competition later this year.
The new series will see six pairs of contestants attempt to track down the biggest brains in Britain in undisclosed locations around the globe. They will need to test their general knowledge, observational powers, intellect and puzzle-solving abilities to uncover landmarks and culturally iconic places along a route to find The Chasers.
Viewers will watch on as teams race each other in pairs, unravelling cryptic conundrums and Da Vinci Code-style puzzles, uncovering buried clues to find The Chasers.
Host Bradley Walsh said: "This bold new take on The Chase combines quizzing with travelling and will test contestant’s knowledge like never before.
"The Chasers are already famous around the world, so fans can look forward to seeing them ply their trade in some superb secret locations."
The pair to arrive last at the destination must take on the Chasers in a head-to-head battle of brains to survive in the game. Beat the Chasers, and you make it to the next destination, but lose, and you’re on your way home. The final location leads to a life-changing prize in a high-stakes battle of knowledge between the last contestants standing and the Chasers.
Throughout the show, the smarter the contestants are, the quicker they will move on and the further they will go. But wrong answers will cost them valuable time and ultimately their place in the competition.
