Top-order fires for Punjab

Harnoor Singh (51), Prabhsimran Singh (88), and Anmolpreet Singh (70) gave a rousing start to the Punjab side, while batting first. The side went on to score a mammoth 345/6 and were 199/2 in 35 overs at one stage. In the middle-order Nehal Wadhera too went on to slam a quickfire 50, and that was enough for the team. Ramandeep Singh comes up with all-round show

He picked up the wickets of Kumar Kartikeya and Aryan Pandey, leaving any scope of resistance from the team.

Yash Rathod & Atharva Taide score big for Vidarbha

Such is a class of Vidarbha these days, that they don’t need big names to do the job for them. Come the quarters, Yash Rathod (86), and Atharva Taide (62) came up with brilliant fifties as they team reached 300 in their quota of overs. Come the chase for Delhi, Nachiket Bhute and skipper Harsh Dubey picked up seven wickets among themselves, to get a convincing win.

    Delhi misses batting stalwarts

It wasn’t just Delhi’s day. Plus, their batting struggled badly in the absence of the likes of Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli. While Pant scored 212 runs in 7 matches, at an average of 42, Kohli had got 208 in two only. The southpaw, who was also the team’s skipper; the team missed his tall presence to say the least and were knocked out in the last eight. Anuj Rawat top-scored for them with 66 from 98.
