Few programs have been hit with transfer-portal attrition quite like the Florida Gators have, as the coaching changeover to Jon Sumrall in recent weeks has prompted a flurry of movement both in and out of the portal.
And on Sunday, the former Tulane head coach learned that another one of his players will be departing the program, as tight end Tony Livingston announced that he would be entering the portal after three years in Gainesville.
The Tampa native posted a heartfelt message to the UF faithful, thanking them for their support as he embarks on this new chapter.

— Tony Livingston (@Tonylivingston_) January 11, 2026The 6-foot-5, 264 lb. tight end played sparingly over three seasons with the Gators. Livingston recorded 1 catch in 2023 before flashing his potential with 11 catches for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns during the 2024 campaign. A 4-reception, 58-yard bowl performance against Tulane–highlighted by a 7-yard touchdown snag–showed signs of promise for the future.
But 2025 saw Livingston post nearly identical numbers after not having recorded more than 2 catches in a single game, and with the coaching change, it appears he believed it was time for a fresh start.
Livingston was originally recruited as an undersized 4-star offensive tackle per 247Sports, and he also held offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State and Tennessee.
