Florida landed one of the top receivers in the portal on Saturday, securing a commitment from former Auburn receiver Eric Singleton Jr.
Singleton shared the news with On3’s Hayes Fawcett. It’s a move that provides some familiarity for Singleton, who was previously hoping to make a jump to the NFL this offseason before opting to enter the transfer portal.

A 5-foot-10 receiver from Atlanta, Singleton was a Freshman All-American for his hometown Yellow Jackets in 2023, when he caught 48 passes for 714 yards and 6 scores.
In 2024, Singleton brought in 56 receptions for 754 yards and 3 scores. Following the season, he transferred to Auburn and stepped into a starting role within the Tigers’ offense.
Singleton started in all 12 games for the Tigers, leading the team in receptions (58) while producing 534 yards and 3 scores. Despite an offense that was mired in inconsistency, Singleton was metronome-like. He had multiple catches in every game and exploded for an 11-catch, 102-yard performance in Auburn’s near-upset of Vanderbilt in Nashville on Nov. 8.
He was previously believed to be leaning toward the NFL. Singleton instead reversed course and went into the transfer portal on Friday. Florida was immediately linked and worked quickly to seal the deal.
Singleton has a catch in every game of his collegiate career (36), the sixth-longest active streak in the FBS. At Florida, he’ll form a terrific trio atop the depth chart alongside Dallas Wilson and Vernell Brown III.
