Mizzou lands transfer pledge from SEC receiver

Missouri landed a transfer commitment from former Florida wide receiver Naeshaun Montgomery on Saturday.

A rising sophomore receiver from Central Falls, Rhode Island, Montgomery will have 4 full years of eligibility to use while at Mizzou. He spent just 1 season with the Gators.

    Montgomery is a 6-foot-1 receiver. Out of the 2025 high school class, he was rated as a 4-star prospect in the 247 Composite and the No. 170 overall recruit.

    In his lone season with the Gators, he appeared in 4 games and preserved his redshirt. He caught 3 passes for 26 yards. His most extensive action came in Week 1 against LIU, when he played 15 snaps on offense. He played 10 snaps against Kentucky in Week 11. He also saw a handful of snaps against Georgia and Ole Miss.

    Montgomery becomes the third receiver to join the program out of the portal. Mizzou has also landed pledges from Horatio Fields (Auburn) and Caleb Goodie (Cincinnati).

    Overall, Montgomery is the 12th transfer to commit to head coach Eli Drinkwitz. The class is headlined by former Ole Miss quarterback Austin Simmons, and it ranks among the top 15 transfer classes in the country, according to 247Sports.
