The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, warned on Friday that aid to the Gaza Strip remains insufficient in meeting the needs of the population.
According to the Palestinian News Agency on Thursday, Lazzarini added that despite the three-month ceasefire, humanitarian aid is still inadequate.
Cold weather conditions are adding to the suffering of a population already exhausted by a brutal two-year war, he said, with its accompanying destruction, killing, and forced displacement, reiterating that current aid is still insufficient to cover basic needs.
