A 1-year-old boy is in critical condition after falling from a window on the fourth floor of an Edgewater apartment building Friday.
Around 11:30 a.m., a 1-year-old boy fell from the fourth floor of a residential building on the 5800 block of North Sheridan Road, police said.
He sustained a head injury and was taken to a local hospital where he was initially listed in critical condition, according to authorities.
Police did not immediately release details regarding what led up to his falling out the window.
Around 3 p.m. several police cars were parked on the block as officers investigated.
No other injuries were reported.
