MANCHESTER, N.Y. — Two drivers were injured, one critically, Tuesday afternoon in a crash at the intersection of County Road 7 and Route 96 in the town of Manchester.
According to New York State Police, a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze driven by a 55-year-old man was headed north on County Road 7 when it did not stop for a red light. The Cruze was hit on the passenger side by a westbound 2012 Chevrolet Express box truck driven by a 30-year-old man. Both vehicles overturned and came to rest off the road.
The Cruze driver was taken by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where he is in critical condition. The box truck driver was taken to Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua for non-life-threatening injuries. That driver was not found to be impaired.
The investigation continues.
