The sixth round of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 ended on Tuesday and while there were a few substantial performances, there were a number of Indian players who failed to impress for their respective teams. The likes of Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Shami, and Yashasvi Jaiswal remain in focus. InsideSport takes a look at, what made the headlines in brief.
India watch, mixed day in the office
Delhi skipper Rishabh Pant had a decent outing — where he went on to score 24 from 9 — including three sixes and a four. Chasing a low total — 180 vs Railways, the team got home in 22 overs. On the other hand, Ishan Kishan did not have the best of days. Playing against MP, he could only score 9 runs, while Jharkhand still managed to win the encounter.
In another match, India batter KL Rahul couldn’t get to a fifty again. After scores of 35 and 25, he could manage 25 again vs Rajasthan. Yashasvi Jaiswal too wasn’t at his best. In the match — Mumbai vs HP, he scored only 15 from 18.
Shubman Gill & Shreyas Iyer return
