Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams will be making his late-night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Williams will be making his first ever late-night television appearance on Wednesday, Jan. 7. Comedian Chelsea Handler and Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner will also appear on the episode.
The 24-year-old Canadian actor has quickly risen to prominence following the release of the hit Crave original gay romance series Heated Rivalry. The series was created for television by Jacob Tierney adapted from Rachel Reid's novel of the same name.
Heated Rivalry follows two rival hockey players, Shane Hollander (Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), on the fictional Montreal Metros and Boston Raiders as they navigate a years-long secret romance.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Dec. 16, 2025, Williams reflected on the near overnight success of the series.
"It is crazy. I feel like I’m a compass on a magnetic field. It’s pointing every which way, and I don’t know who the hell is right, but I’m very excited. It’s very auspicious looking," Williams said.
Williams also reflected on how himself and Storrie have reacted to the newfound attention, especially on social media.
"I was talking with Connor about this. I don’t know if someone’s going to reach out and be like, 'We want you in this new YA show. It’s really poorly written, but we think you’re perfect,'" he said. "Or if Luca Guadagnino is going to crawl out of Italy and be like, 'I want you.'" I don’t want to make any assumptions, so I’m just trying to be as calm as I can. But so far, the fan reactions are very nice and mostly wholesome. I'm overwhelmed, over scrolling on the socials, so I delete them lots. Every time I post something, I go and delete it again."
Williams appearance on The Tonight Show will be the first late night television appearance of any Heated Rivalry cast member. The series has already been green lit for Season 2 and Season 1 is set to premiere in the UK and Ireland on Jan. 11.
All episodes of Season 1 of Heated Rivalry are available to stream on HBO Max in the United States and on Crave in Canada.
