Chicago police were seeking the public’s help to identify a person of interest in a homicide who was captured on video.
On Sunday, authorities released footage of the individual wanted in connection with a deadly shooting Dec. 19 the Little Village neighborhood. According to police, the shooting occurred at approximately 7:21 p.m. along West 23rd Place near South Rockwell Streets.
A 23-year-old woman was riding in a vehicle when an unknown suspect fired multiple shots in her direction, police stated. The victim was shot in the back and taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Area Four detectives were conducting an investigation into the shooting.
