A 51-year-old man has died after he was shot multiple times Saturday, Chicago police said.
The shooting unfolded in the 6700 block of South Jeffery Boulevard at approximately 9:27 a.m. Saturday, police said.
Officers discovered the victim inside of a residence, where he was found unresponsive. The victim had been shot in the head, chest and back, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cook County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 51-year-old Marcos Almedia, but no further information was available on the death.
No suspect is in custody, and an investigation remains underway.
