Added to that, Warwick Davis is reprising one of his film roles for the all-new series that's currently in production. And now, the longtime performer, 55, recently provided some insight into the highly anticipated new show — and how it differs from the films.
The BAFTA honoree returns as Professor Flitwick — a character that originated for the films specifically — and spoke out that the forthcoming HBO episodes are “very faithful adaptations” of the J.K. Rowling fantasy book series, Deadline reports.
“I’m working on it at the moment, but I can’t really tell you anything other than we’re retelling those wonderful stories but with more depth and detail than has been seen before,” Davis told Times Radio. “They’re very faithful adaptations of the book.”
Davis continued, “We’re obviously telling the same story so there are similar moments that we’re experiencing as actors on the set. But it’s weird being back in the same studios again, doing it all again, because Leavesden is where we shot the films.”
