Breakfast recipes tend to either be super easy (looking at you, scrambled eggs and toast) or something you'd serve at a special occasion (hello, homemade cinnamon rolls). But every once in a while, you run across a recipe that's easy and special, which is exactly what I found when I made Hawaiian roll breakfast sliders from content creator Luke Brown (@cookinginthemidwest).These mini sandwiches disappeared so fast that I barely got a chance to sit down. They're so good you'd think they took a lot longer to make than they do, but they're just as easy as some of my old standby breakfast foods. When I tested this recipe, I suspected it would be a hit, but I didn’t expect my kids to absolutely devour them. They’re perfect for slow weekend mornings, brunch or even breakfast-for-dinner when you want something comforting and filling. How To Make Hawaiian Roll Breakfast Sliders

Start by cooking the bacon until crisp, browning the breakfast sausage and scrambling the eggs. Set everything aside once cooked. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact.

Place the bottom half of the rolls into a baking dish. Layer American cheese slices evenly across the bread, followed by the browned sausage. Add the scrambled eggs next, spreading them evenly, then sprinkle shredded Colby Jack cheese over the eggs. Top everything with the cooked bacon before placing the roll tops back on.

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and the syrup. Brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls, using enough to coat them without oversaturating. Sprinkle the everything bagel seasoning evenly over the top.

Bake at 350° until the sliders are warmed through and the tops are lightly golden. Slice and serve warm, using any extra butter and syrup mixture as a dipping sauce, if you'd like.

Hawaiian Roll Breakfast Sliders Recipe Review: My Honest Thoughts

This recipe was a clear winner. My kids devoured the sliders, and not serving extra syrup didn’t slow them down one bit. The balance of flavors was spot on: savory, cheesy and just sweet enough.

I was a bit concerned that the eggs might dry out as the sliders baked, but the rolls stayed soft, the eggs were fluffy and the cheese melted perfectly into every layer. I made a second batch using gluten-free sandwich bread, and it was just as incredible, which isn't a given.

These sliders were flavorful, and the combination of savory meats, creamy eggs and melty cheese is classic breakfast food, but the finished dish still felt special and is ideal for feeding a crowd with minimal effort.

There were no real challenges here, which is part of what makes this recipe so appealing. It’s straightforward, forgiving and easy to scale up or down. I would absolutely make these again, especially for weekend breakfasts or holiday mornings. These sliders are comforting, crowd-pleasing and exactly the kind of recipe you’ll find yourself coming back to when you need something easy and delicious.

    Tips, Substitutions and Storage

This recipe is highly adaptable. Gluten-free sandwich bread works well if Hawaiian rolls aren’t an option, and the sliders still bake up soft and satisfying. You can also swap sausage for ham or turkey bacon if preferred.

If making ahead, assemble everything except the butter topping, cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. Add the topping just before baking. Leftovers store well in the refrigerator and reheat easily in the oven or microwave.

For a less sweet version, reduce the amount of syrup in the butter mixture or skip it altogether and rely on the seasoning for flavor.
