The Colorado Avalanche Information Center is warning of dangerous avalanche conditions in the Park Range on Friday.
“You can easily trigger slides large enough to bury you there on Friday,” the CAIC said on its website.
Elsewhere, the agency advised backcountry adventurers to look for and avoid newly formed drifts of snow below steep ridges at upper elevations.
Much of the state is at low or moderate avalanche risk, according to the CAIC map. Snowpack across the state has remained far below normal this season amid warm and dry conditions.
