ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Mostly cloudy and cold weather with flurries Friday. Need to watch an intense band of snow over Lake Ontario into tonight and tomorrow. Majority of the snow will be out towards Fair Haven and Oswego but will clip northeast Wayne County and occasionally bring snow to the Ontario Shore the next couple days. Accumulations may total a few inches right near the lake with significant amounts east of Sodus Bay. Some of the snow may try and sneak down to Ridge Road at times so stay tuned for any updates on that. Outside of the lake snow just flurries expected into Saturday.
A clipper system will arrive Saturday night with snow showers for everyone. At this time it appears to be a weak storm with around an inch or so of snow expected. Following that low pressure more cold weather arrives Sunday with a few lake effect flurries and snow showers. One more weak clipper system arrives on Monday with snow showers then a pattern change moves into the northeast next week. Some milder weather may bring temps closer to 40 degrees. Stay tuned to News10 for latest on the lake snow and cold through the weekend.
