Dallas Wilson is running it back in 2026. On Wednesday, Wilson announced through Florida’s NIL and marketing partner, Florida Victorious, that he has re-signed to return to the Gators for the 2026 season.
Wilson shared his excitement to play for new head coach Jon Sumrall.
“He was very electric. He brought a lot of energy to the room—something we really hadn’t seen before. It was a different type of juice, and I immediately liked it,” Wilson told Florida Victorious. “I feel like he’s the kind of coach who’s going to bring the best out of every player on the field.”
The wideout also spoke highly of new offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner and wide receivers coach Marcus Davis.
“He brought in Coach Buster as the offensive coordinator, and I talk to him pretty much every day. He’s a great offensive mind and knows how to get his playmakers the ball and put us in position to be successful,” Wilson said, per Florida Victorious. “Then Coach Davis came in as our receivers coach, replacing (Billy Gonzales), and he’s been great too. He’s calm, confident, and focused on moving us forward and turning us into the best wide receiver room we can be.”
Wilson was limited by injuries in his freshman season. He missed the first 4 and last 4 games of the 2025 campaign. In 4 appearances, he logged 12 catches for 174 yards and 3 touchdowns. It was in Florida‘s win over Texas that he showed why fans are excited to have Wilson back in 2026.
In the win over the Longhorns, Wilson had 6 catches for 111 yards and 2 scores, earning SEC Freshman of the Week recognition.

He originally signed with Oregon but was granted a release and enrolled at UF.
