Two men were shot, one fatally, in Chicago’s East Garfield Park neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Around 1:17 p.m., two men, 38 and 18, were in an alley on the 700 block of North Spaulding Avenue on the city’s West Side when four suspects exited a vehicle with firearms and fired shots at them, authorities said.
Both victims were shot multiple times, police said. They were transported to a local hospital.
The 38-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital, authorities said. The 18-year-old, who was shot in his leg and arm, was initially listed in fair condition.
