The WHL was back in action on Saturday night. Nathan Behm had a hat trick and two assists for a five-point night in a 9-5 win for Kamloops. Yes, I said five points! Behm scored once in the first period and twice in the final three minutes of the second. His second goal held up as the game-winner.

The OHL returned to action on Sunday after their Christmas break. Blackhawks prospect Jack Pridham scored his 18th goal of the season in the first period for Kitchener. Pridham came back late in the third period and scored his 19th of the season, this time on the power play to tie the game at three. With 36 seconds left in regulation, Pridham scored a short-handed, empty net goal to finish off his second hat trick of the season in a 5-3 Kitchener win.
