“Lots of clouds over the next few days,” NBC 5 Storm Team Meteorologist Kevin Jeanes said. “A cloudy pattern.”
Christmas Eve high temperatures would be in the mid-40s, Jeanes said, with light rain and drizzle expected after 4 p.m.
The “gloomy weather” will continue through Christmas morning, the National Weather Service said, with patchy fog also possible.
Thursday, Christmas Day, will see more clouds overhead and a few sprinkles, Jeanes said, with above-average high temperatures around 40 degrees.
Conditions will remain on the wet side Thursday night into Friday morning, Jeanes said, with steady rain for the first half of the day.
Temperatures would be warmer Friday, with a high of 49 degrees, remaining in the mid 40s Saturday.
By Sunday though, a “big pattern change” is expected.
Morning temperatures Sunday will feel mild but fall throughout the day, Jeanes said, turning cold and blustery with a chance of snow showers by evening.
Next week, temperatures will be much colder, with 20-degree temperature drop and morning wind chills in the single digits starting Monday, witha chance of snow showers on New Years Eve.
