The Chicago Bears enter Week 17 in an unfamiliar position. They’re a game and a half ahead of the Green Bay Packers for the NFC North, which they can clinch this week with either a win over the San Francisco 49ers or a Packers loss to the Baltimore Ravens. There’s also a path to the number one seed with a win over San Fran and some help from the Carolina Panthers this week.
Their work this season hasn’t gone unnoticed. In a press release this morning from the NFL, we learned that no team received more Pro Bowl votes than the Bears, who had the leading vote-getters at multiple positions, including quarterback, where Caleb Williams is poised to be the NFC’s starting quarterback when the official rosters are released tomorrow morning.

— Patrick K. Flowers (@PatrickKFlowers) December 22, 2025The results in today’s press release reflect fan voting. Still, the league takes into consideration fan votes, as well as votes from players and coaches, with each group’s votes determining one-third of the votes toward the selections for the Pro Bowl Games rosters.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was the leading fan-vote getter with 420,383 votes, with AFC quarterbacks Josh Allen (263,127) and Drake Maye (259,978) right behind him. Then comes Bears QB Caleb Williams, who garnered 216,838 fan votes. Bears veteran safety Kevin Byard III rounded out the top five overall fan vote-getters with 203,638 votes.
Williams was the top vote-getter in the fan voting among NFC quarterbacks.

But Williams wasn’t alone at the top. Here are the rest of the Chicago Bears players who finished in first place in the fan vote at their respective positions:
RB D’Andre Swift T Darnell Wright G Joe Thuney C Drew Dalman ILB Tremaine Edmunds CB Nahshon Wright FS Kevin Byard III SS Jaquan Brisker P Tory Taylor RS Devin Duvernay ST Josh BlackwellThat’s right! A whopping 12 Bears players won the fan vote at their respective position, including a clean sweep of the defensive back positions by Nahshon Wright, Byard, and Jaquan Brisker, the offensive line positions with Darnell Wright, Joe Thuney, and Drew Dalman, and a near-sweep of the special teams positions by Tory Taylor, Devin Duvernay, and Josh Blackwell.
Photo: Imagn ImagesSeeing a veteran like Byard—who’s meant so much to Chicago’s secondary and locker room—get his flowers is incredible. Same for Nahshon Wright, who has turned in a career year out of nowhere, and D’Andre Swift, who has enjoyed a dream-like bounce-back campaign under head coach Ben Johnson’s direction.
Now, that said, I hope none of these guys are at the Pro Bowl Games, because that would mean they wouldn’t be playing in the Super Bowl the following week. Regardless, it’s cool to see them get some well-deserved recognition.
The league will announce the official rosters on Tuesday morning.
