ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The week of Christmas has arrived. In Rochester, government offices, libraries, R-Centers, and other government services are adjusting to accommodate.

Rochester City Hall, all neighborhood service centers, and the Loretta C. Scott Center for Human Services building will be closed on Thursday for Christmas Day and Friday. Here is what else is closed:

    Rochester Public Libraries will be closed on Wednesday for Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day, but will reopen on Friday for normal hours. All R-Centers will be closed on Christmas Day through Saturday. For Christmas Eve, R-Centers will close at 3 p.m. Refuse and recycling collection won’t take place on Christmas.  Pickup will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.  Rochester Animal Services will be closed to the public on Christmas Day and Friday. In addition, the Community Pet Food Pantry will be closed on Friday and will host its next event on Friday, Jan. 9.  The 311 Call Center will be closed on Christmas Day and will reopen on Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.      The Rochester Public Market will be open on Tuesday from  6 a.m. to 1 p.m. However, the market will be closed on Christmas Day and will resume its regular schedule on Saturday
