The Bears won the biggest regular-season football game since…2018?! What an ending. Sorry for the delay, I had to rewrite pretty much this entire post. Bear Down!
Bears Instant Grades
Offense
QB Caleb Williams | A
I had him at a C+, then the game-winner happened. That’s an A. What a throw.
RB Kyle Monangai & D’Andre Swift | B
They ran hard. I don’t think the Bears ran the ball as well or as much as they should have tonight, but I think both of them made plays when given the chance.
WR DJ Moore | A-
I had him close to an F prior to overtime, but he stepped up in a big way when his team needed him most. What a catch!

Needs to be better, given how many injuries the Bears’ pass catchers were dealing with, but he was solid.
TE Colston Loveland | C
He was OK. I think he could have done a bit more with Rome Odunze and Luther Burden out, but he did his job.
Offensive Line | C-
About as average a performance as I can remember. They get minus because they went up against a unit without its best player, and played worse than they did two weeks ago.
Defense
Defensive Line | F
They had their chance to shine when Jordan Love went out and could not have done less to take advantage of it. The pass rush was awful. Run-stopping was even worse as the game went on. Just a terrible performance.
Linebackers | D
They made a few plays early, but the Packers got entirely too much in the run game as he game went on. That falls on the linebackers.
Secondary | C
Nashon Wright made an awesome play, but other than that, they didn’t really do much. I’m pretty cool with letting Jaquan Brisker walk in the offseason. Bring back Byard on a short-term deal, draft Brisker’s replacement.
Special Teams
K Cairo Santos | A
He made his kicks, he nailed
P Tory Taylor | C
Started out great, but you can’t shank punts and get away with it.
Bears Coaching
Ben Johnson | B-
He was mostly outcoached by Matt LaFleur for the majority of the football game. However, he and his team took advantage of some Packers mistakes late, which led to a win.

Malik Willis played most of the game, and the Bears’ defense still couldn’t stop Green Bay’s offense. I’m sorry, you have to do a better job of shutting down a backup QB. He did what he could with his group, but it could have been better. But they still got the win!
