OAKLAND — A man died Monday from injuries he suffered in a shooting nearly nine years ago in Oakland, police said.

Officers arrived to find evidence of a shooting, but no victim, police said. A short time later, a man arrived at an area hospital with at least four gunshot wounds to his upper torso.
Police said the man died Monday “from their injuries sustained from the 2016 shooting.” He has not been identified.
