And that’s what the owner and chefs at The Cats in Los Gatos have planned. On Dec. 26, 27 and 28, this legendary restaurant will host diners at its Lunch Buffet Festival.
There will be three seatings every day — at noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. — and local bands playing at each one of those nine luncheons, according to Richard Tam of the ChefCentury group, which took over the circa 1896 roadhouse in 2023.
The lineup of American barbecue and Filipino food will include Texas-style brisket, Manila barbecue chicken, St. Louis ribs, pulled pork adobo and pork liempo, along with sides of Filipino pancit, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, mango salad, house salad and steamed rice.

The bands scheduled to play are Sorta Sisters (Dec. 26), Billy Reese (Dec. 27) and Joe Ferrara (Dec. 28).
