Luc Dionne of NCAP delivered another top performance on day 3 of the Katie Ledecky Invitational, winning the boys’ 200 breast in 1:56.20.

Prior to this weekend, Zangaro sat atop the season’s national rankings in the 500 free, as she posted the #1 time in the country for her age group in November with a time of 4:44.60. Derek Cox, who represents Asphalt Green United Aquatics, won the 200 fly in 1:47.46 at 28 years old. While he has been as fast as 1:45.01 in 2020, Cox’s performance on day 3 took almost 3.5 seconds off of last year’s season-best (1:50.90) and marked his fastest time since 2021. Cox was the only swimmer in the field to break 1:48, as NCAP’s Ryan Southern took 2nd behind him in 1:48.03. Southern, who is committed to swim for the University of Delaware in the fall, came into the meet with a best time of 1:49.77 before posting a time of 1:48.05 during prelims.
