Rome Odunze is lined up for a Week 15 return against the Cleveland Browns.
The Chicago Bears inactives list for Sunday’s showdown at a frigid Soldier Field does NOT include Odunze, who missed last week’s game against the Green Bay Packers and was limited in practice throughout the week leading up to today’s game against the Browns. However, Odunze not being among the Bears inactives isn’t a total shocker. On Saturday, it was reported that there was some optimism that Odunze would suit up for game day. Saturday morning optimism is now a reality on Sunday. Odunze is ACTIVE. How much he will play is unknown. But I suppose we will find out together when the game kicks off at noon.

While Odunze is back in action, the Bears do have one notable inactive player — quarterback Tyson Bagent. Chicago’s QB2 pops up on the Bears inactives list after showing up on the injury report on Sunday morning with an illness. I guess it is that time of year when bugs float around. With Bagent out, Case Keenum (who hasn’t taken a meaningful snap since 2023) is Chicago’s QB2. Hopefully, the Bears will not need to see Keenum take the field on Sunday. It is too cold to watch a backup quarterback while this team fights for its playoff lives.
