Ankara, Dec 14 (SANA) The Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned the terrorist attack on Syrian and US forces near Palmyra during a joint patrol.
In an official statement released on Sunday, the ministry offered condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the attack, as well as to the governments of Syria and the United States, both partners in the Global Coalition against ISIS.
The Ministry affirmed that Turkey will continue to support the Syrian government’s efforts to strengthen stability and security and combat terrorism.
On Saturday, an assailant opened fire on a joint patrol near Palmyra, killing two US soldiers and a civilian interpreter, and injuring three additional US personnel along with two Syrian security officers.
