Damascus, Dec. 13, (SANA) The conference “A Year After Liberation: Prospects and Challenges” opened in Damascus on Saturday, attended by Information Minister Hamza al-Mustafa and a number of political and economic researchers.
The event is being held at the Cham Hotel in the Syrian capital.
Speaking during the conference’s first session, Minister al-Mustafa said that the role of the media during periods of revolution lies in “providing the popular momentum needed to sustain public mobilization, shaping shared narratives, and framing the revolutionary process.”
He added that the media must also “contribute to the effectiveness of transitional justice and help reveal the truth.”
