Friday’s prelims saw several standout performances, and tonight’s finals promise tight races across multiple events.
Kayla Han posted the fastest time in the girls’ 400 IM this morning with the top seed by four seconds, setting up what could be a marquee battle under the lights.
In the mid-distance and sprint events, Alyssa Ton posted the top time of the morning in the 200 free, while the 100 fly looks deep with Gabi Brito, Kelsey Zhang, and Clare Watson all under 52. Bianca Nwaizu and Mikayla Tan headline the 100 breast, and Vera Conic will be the favorite in the 100 back as she tops the morning qualifiers.
On the boys’ side, Jackson Hartzler holds the top seed in the 400 IM after dropping a massive personal best to grab the top seed. Anthony Dornoff sits close behind him, while Rowan Cox owns a pair of top seeds in the 100 fly and 100 back. Maxwell Stanislaus will be in lane 4 in the 200 free, and Andrew Eubanks leads the way in the 100 breast as the only seeded sub-53.
