Angels Camp, CA — Bernadette Cattaneo has been picked to be the new President of the Calaveras Community Foundation, after being an active and dedicated board member since 2022.
She replaces outgoing President Terry Beaudoin, who the organization says has helped strengthen foundation programs and community relationships over recent years.
As President, Cattaneo, a resident of Copperopolis, says she plans to focus on increasing community engagement, enhancing donor relationships, and championing initiatives that directly benefit Calaveras County residents.
She adds, “I’m honored to take on this role and excited to spend more time out in the community. CCF has a long history of supporting meaningful projects and partnerships in Calaveras County. I look forward to working closely with our donors and community members to continue improving and expanding the Foundation’s impact.”
Christy Maynard (CCF Treasurer and board member since 2009) applauded the new appointment, emphasizing Cattaneo’s collaborative spirit and warm leadership style. “Bernadette is very approachable and has a natural gift for connecting with people,” Maynard said. “She’s committed to working with others throughout the county, and her enthusiasm is contagious. Other changes to the executive board of directors include the addition of Terri Tanner of Valley Springs as Vice President and Christy Maynard of Wilseyville as Treasurer. Don Stump of Murphys remains in the position of CCF Secretary.
The foundation, established in 2000, has become the largest, general-purpose charitable organization in Calaveras County. Since the Foundation’s inception, over $3.3M has been distributed to local causes, through competitive grants, scholarships, and assistance.
