Legendary India National Cricket Team all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and the World Cup-winning captain Hamanpreet Kaur were honoured by the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) on Thursday, December 11.
The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) honoured Yuvraj Singh and Harmanpreet Kaur by inaugurating stands named after them at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.
Punjab has produced some great cricketers for the Indian team over the years, and two of the most successful among them have been Yuvraj Singh and Harmanpreet Kaur.
Yuvraj Singh needs no introduction as the legendary all-rounder's contributions speak for themselves. He was the mainstay of the Indian white-ball team for a very long time and delivered a Man of the Tournament performance in India's 2011 Cricket World Cup triumph.
Talking about Harmanpreet Kaur, she is regarded as one of the greatest India Women's cricketers of all time, and she has played numerous stunning knocks for the side.
However, Kaur achieved the biggest success of her career very recently when she guided the India Women's to their maiden ICC Cricket World Cup triumph at home.
Meanwhile, Harmanpreet Kaur Stand and Yuvraj Singh Stand were unveiled at Mullanpur ahead of the second T20I between India and South Africa in the presence of the duo as well as the Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann.

The legendary all-rounder took some time out to meet his great friend Gautam Gambhir at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.
India head coach Gambhir shares a great bond with Yuvraj Singh, and the duo played vital roles together in India's wins in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2007 and ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2011.
Yuvraj was also seen interacting with the likes of Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya before giving a pep talk to the Indian team in the huddle.
