TEMPE — The Arizona Cardinals will be without wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. when they take on the Los Angeles Rams this week.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon on Friday ruled out the wide receiver due to a heel injury suffered in last week’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Additionally, rookie defensive lineman Walter Nolen III (knee), safety Rabbit Taylor-Demerson (ankle), cornerback Max Melton (heel) and wide receiver Greg Dortch (chest) are out this week.
The same goes for running back Trey Benson (knee), who is running out of time for a 2025 return off injured reserve.
Harrison was a nonparticipant across the first two days of practice with the issue.
Gannon while on with Arizona Sports’ Burns & Gambo, said Harrison’s injury is similar to Melton’s heel issue that has now forced him out of two games with his out status this week.
Sunday marked the first time Harrison was back in the starting lineup after missing the previous two games due to recovering from an appendectomy.

He was quickly reintegrated into the passing attack, racking up 69 yards on six catches (seven targets) before exiting.
With Harrison sidelined, wide receiver Michael Wilson slides back into a WR1 role he flourished in with the 2024 No. 4 overall pick sidelined.
In the two games Harrison was out, Wilson reeled in 25 catches for 303 yards.
It was an impressive stretch for a wide receiver who had been far from the first read since joining Arizona as a rookie in 2023.
Marvin Harrison Jr. not the only one sidelined vs. Rams
For Nolen, Sunday marks the ninth game missed due to injury as a rookie. It’s a tough look given what he’s shown when healthy.
In four games played, Nolen has registered one sack, four tackles for loss and three QB hits. He also took home a fumble recovery for a touchdown before going down with the knee issue.
Taylor-Demerson, meanwhile, hasn’t played since Week 10’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He’s currently tied with rookie cornerback Denzel Burke for the team lead in interceptions with two.
Dortch has appeared in all 12 games for Arizona this season. He’s set a new career high in total touchdowns this year with four. He’s also been Arizona’s primary return man and is closing in on 1,000 yards of punt and kick returns on 47 total attempts.
