Former BachelorNick Viall and his wife Natalie Joy are facing backlash from fans after they appeared to "mom-shame" Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt.
During the Tuesday, Dec. 2 episode of The Viall Files podcast, Viall and Joy questioned how Leavitt would parent her three children while starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway early next year.
"I'm finally getting everything I've ever wanted in my life, and it's obviously happening at a time where she's got three kids who I'm sure demand her attention just as much as Roxie Hart and Dancing With The Stars does," Joy said.
Viall then asked, "Can she sing?" to which a producer responded, "If she can't, she will. She can do anything."
In an Octoberinterview with E! News alongside her DWTS partner Mark Ballas, Leavitt said she’d take singing lessons if she ever went on Broadway — and Ballas even offered to connect her with a coach.
"I am curious how Whitney — and maybe this is just a human level, mom level question — on how she's managing both, right? Because right now, her career has skyrocketed," Joy continued. "She just did Dancing With The Stars for what, three, four months? I know she has kids in school level, maybe they're homeschooled, I don't know. But to be in L.A. for four months doing Dancing With The Stars, and then to now shift to NYC doing Chicago, like that takes so much of her time."
Joy added, "How is she managing, prioritizing being a mom and her kids who I imagine have some sort of schedule and routine? And I know their home base was Utah... I'm just so curious."

After Joy's comments — and Viall's apparent agreement — went viral on TikTok, fans slammed the couple for "mom-shaming."
"It’s giving ✨bitter✨after not being asked to do the reunion," wrote one fan, referencing how Viall was not asked to host the Mormon Wives season 3 reunion after hosting the reunion for season 2.
"Do they not realize most moms work a 9-5?" commented another. "Because no other mother has ever been on Broadway." added a third.
"god forbid a woman has career aspirations and is the breadwinner of the family?," said a fourth. "They forgot that the kids also have a FATHER? I don’t like Whitney but gosh that’s so unfair to say those things!" wrote a fifth.
