2025 Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division IV State Championships
Nov. 19-20. 2025 Sulphur, Louisiana SCY (25 yards) ResultsTwo programs that have become used to winning state titles over the years added to their respective trophy cases at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division IV State Championships.
The Pope John Paul II High School boys team won its sixth straight state championship, while the Episcopal School of Acadiana captured a fourth straight state title, although in different Divisions. Episcopal won the Division III championship last year after winning the Division IV titles in 2022 and 2023.
Girls’ Recap
Episcopal was led by a pair of multiple-event winners, senior Bella Bourque and sophomore Ciara Farmer.
Bourque, who has committed to Arkansas-Little Rock, won the 100 fly in a personal best time of 56.62 and the 100 breast in a time of 1:10.07.
Farmer captured the 200 free in 2:03.96 and the 500 free in 5:33.12.
Both also helped Episcopal win two relays.
The team of Farmer (31.57), Jiya Lodha (35.00), Bourque (25.44) and Alison Clark (27.10) started the meet off by winning the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:59.11.
In the 200 free relay, the squad of J. Lodha (27.36), Farmer (26.09), Muskaan Lodha (29.06) and Bourque (24.24) topped the field in a time of 1:46.75.
The 400 free relay was won by Pope John Paul’s squad of Iris Lin (59.27), Adelynn Miller (1:11.23), Avery Hayden (1:00.95) and Braylee Ladner (54.04) in 4:05.49.
Besides Bourque and Farmer, Ladner was the other multi-event winner, sweeping the sprint freestyle events.
A sophomore, Ladner won the 50 free in 24.32 and the 100 free in 54.27, both personal best times.
The other individual winners were J. Lodha in the 200 IM (personal best 2:21.84) and Holy Savior Menard junior Lila Pugh in the 100 back (personal best 1:02.32).

Pope John Paul as a team earned another ring primarily behind senior Eric Ring, who first won the 200 free in a personal best time of 1:39.41 after finishing 2nd in the event last year.
Ring then won the 500 free in a personal best time of 4:34.35.
Ring was also a member of two winning relay teams.
In the 200 medley relay, Pope John Paul’s squad of Cole Hutson (27.42), Michael Delaney (31.15), Ring (23.67) and Zayne Sterbenz (22.92) won in a time of 1:45.16.
Later in the 400 free relay, the team of Ring (46.71), Brent Lusich (54.56), Hutson (53.92), and Sterbenz (52.28) won in a time of 3:27.47.
The 200 free relay was won by Dunham School’s team of Caleb Heinlein (25.21), Lucian Pham (26.30), Finn Fontenot (24.25) and Hayden Cowan (22.87) in a time of 1:38.63.
Cowan also won the 50 free in a personal best time of 22.69.
The other multiple event winners individually were Holy Savior Menard sophomore Jacques Roy and Cedar Creek junior Camdyn Napper.
A sophomore, Roy won the 100 fly in 55.84 and the 100 back in 55.41, both personal best times.
Napper captured the 200 IM in 1:55.14 after finishing 2nd in the event last year, and then he repeated as champion in the 100 breast with a time of 59.55. Both of his times were personal bests.
Lake Arthur senior Slade Legros repeated as champion in the 100 free in a time of 50.24.
