ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Public Market kicked off the holiday season with festive activities on Sunday as part of the Holidays at the Market series. Visitors enjoyed Santa visits, carriage rides, and a cookie contest, drawing people into the holiday spirit.
Vendors expressed enthusiasm about the event’s impact on local shopping.
“I’m just emerging as an artist, I’ve been a corporate executive for 30 years, I’ve been doing art my whole life,” Chris Roberts, a local illustrator, said. “I got really serious about it in the past few years and came out as an artist full-time this summer. The more exposure, the better.”
For those who missed the event, the Holiday Market will return on Dec. 7, 14, and 18.
