In the since-deleted post, McAllister had texted his wife that actor Zac Efron was in the Dancing With the Stars audience, cheering on his brother, Dylan Efron, who was competing with Daniella Karagach.
"Zac Efron is here," read the text from McAllister.
"I saw! They are trying to get votes," Carson replied.
And while the text could be interpreted in a variety of ways, fans were surprised that Carson shared it to begin with. Someone shared a screenshot of the post on Reddit where many people reacted.
"You text those things to your hubby to get it out. You don't then post said texts to your social media page," one person wrote.
"This is so rude to say let alone post… if he really wanted to get votes that desperately he could’ve had Zac there every week," someone else said.
"Yeah this is not a good look for her. Why would she post this, its not like she hasn't done the same thing every week with the Irwin fam," a third comment read.
"This is so shady," a fourth person added.
Carson has not commented on the post.
