A source within the Egyptian Anti-Doping Committee revealed that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has issued its ruling in the case of Pyramids FC player Ramadan Sobhi over charges of doping.
The source confirmed that the international court issued its decision on Wednesday, suspending Sobhi for four seasons following his doping violation.
The source added that the court notified the Egyptian Anti-Doping Agency (EADA) of the decision on Wednesday.
The EADA, in turn, notified the Egyptian Football Association of Sobhi’s suspension.
This comes just hours after Sobhi’s detention was extended until December 30th, following his involvement in a separate forgery case at the Higher Institute of Tourism and Hotels in Abu Nomros, Giza.
