The Colorado High School Activities Association on Monday released its all-state girls volleyball teams.
Local standouts are prominently featured.
University sophomore outside/opposite-side hitter Delaney Lauer was named the Class 4A Player of the Year, while the Bulldogs’ Jared Rudiger received 4A coach of the year honors. University capped its 24-5 season with a state title — its second in program history — Nov. 15 at the Denver Coliseum.
Lauer led the Bulldogs in kills (402) and was second in digs (272) and third in aces (34).
The teams are joint collaborations between CHSAANow.com and MaxPreps, and they are compiled after leagues nominate players. Coaches from throughout the state then vote on the selections. Only players that received first-team all-conference honors are eligible.

Windsor — the 4A runner-up — had two first-team selections: senior outside hitter/middle blocker/right-side hitter Madelyn Bahnsen and junior libero Avery Smiley.
University junior libero/outside hitter Livianna Aguilar was a 4A honorable mention, as were Fort Lupton sophomore Gabriella Aviles, Roosevelt senior outside hitter/setter Braelyn Bailey, University sophomore setter/opposite-side hitter/defensive specialist Kenley Rudiger, Windsor junior middle/right-side hitter Quinn Sholder, Fort Lupton junior Kyleigh Taylor and Windsor sophomore middle/right-side hitter Avery Williams.
Eaton senior outside hitter Madi Smith was named the 3A player of the year. Smith led the Reds to a 25-4 record and their 11th state title in program history. Smith led Eaton in kills (399) and was third on the team in digs (200) and fifth in blocks (24).

Resurrection Christian sophomore setter/defensive specialist Kylee Mayes and Eaton senior setter Trinity Salberg were named to the 3A second team.
Resurrection Christian senior defensive/libero Blake Coors was a 3A honorable mention, as was Platte Valley senior libero/defensive specialist Addy Grossnickle, Eaton senior middle/outside-side hitter Railey Maske and Resurrection Christian freshman outside/middle hitter Paige Michaelson.
Dayspring Christian senior outside hitter/opposite-side hitter/setter Bella Flores earned a 2A honorable mention.
Prairie senior middle/outside hitter Tanna Bailey was a 1A honorable mention. Ditto for Mustangs junior outside/middle/right-side hitter Hannah Kugler and Prairie senior setter/outside hitter/right-side hitter Nicole Ludgate.
