OAKLAND — One football fan put another in the hospital with a two-inch gash on his head after the two co-workers argued about the San Francisco 49ers and Las Vegas Raiders at the Oakland International Airport, court records show.
The suspected aggressor, a 23-year-old man, was charged with battery with serious bodily injury, a felony. He was arrested but later released from jail without bail, after Judge Michael Risher ordered him to attend mental health counseling, court records show.
The two men were co-workers at a UPS station at the airport. Their argument over the two teams grew heated and eventually the 23-year-old man punched his co-worker in the face, causing the victim to fall and hit his head.
