ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Navy men’s swimming and diving team placed first and the women’s team finished in second place at the Navy Invitational that finished its three-day meet Saturday night at Lejeune Hall in Annapolis.

“Outstanding job by this team this week,” said Navy men’s swimming head coach Bill Roberts. “In any three-day meet, there are going to be some ups and downs and I was really impressed with their efforts, their perseverance and the way they operated as one team.
“We would like to thank each program for committing to attend this meet as it was our first attempt. There was terrific energy and competition and believe we all learned a lot through the meet.”
