2025 Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Girls 4A State Championships

Nov. 14-15, 2025 Federal Way, Washington SCY (25 yards) Results

In a tight race at the WIAA Girls 4A State Championships, Kennedy Catholic topped Lincoln to defend its title in the state’s largest classification.

The biggest reason Kennedy Catholic prevailed was senior Hailey Weiler, a USC commit.

Weiler followed up wins in the 100 back and 100 fly at last year’s state meet by winning titles in the 100 free and 100 back this year.

Weiler swam a time of 50.31 in the 100 free and 55.01 in the 100 back, both season-best times. Her lifetime bests stand at 50.09 and 53.46, respectively. She was also a part of two winning relay teams.

In the 200 medley relay, Weiler led off in 25.68 and was followed by Parker Marvin (29.46), Lucy LaBella (27.18) and Cecilia Pallotta (25.22) as Kennedy Catholic won in 1:47.54.

Later, Weiler anchored Kennedy Catholic to victory in the 400 free relay, splitting 50.39 as they finished in 3:31.74.

Other team members were Avery Jackson (52.37), Kaitlyn Vu (53.66) and Avery Stender (55.32).

The 200 free relay was won by Lincoln’s team of Matilda White (23.74), Maya Sprinkling (24.72), Chloey Wallace (24.37) and Quincy Berg (24.21) in a time of 1:37.04.

    Other individual winners were:

Hazen senior Molly McCorriston, a Dartmouth commit, followed up a 2nd-place finish last year by winning the 200 free in a personal best time of 1:49.49. South Kitsap freshman Tessa Hurguy swam way beyond her years to win the 200 IM in 2:04.73. Hurguy beat out last year’s champion, Vu, by more than three seconds. Vu repeated as champion in the 100 breast in a time of 1:03.99. Lincoln senior Matilda White, a Vanderbilt commit, won the 50 free in 23.66 after finishing 2nd in the event last year. Claire Butler of Glacier Peak won the 1-meter diving competition with 375.95 points. Butler improved on a 4th-place finish from last year. Adelaide Loeser of Eisenhower took a huge leap in the 100 fly, winning the event in a personal best time of 57.83 after finishing 14th in the event last year. Ava Swigart, a Nevada commit and senior from Lewis and Clark, repeated as champion in the 500 free in a time of 4:57.48.
