The U.S. Women’s National Soccer team will kick off 2026 with a friendly against Paraguay on Jan. 24 at Dignity Health Sports Park, at 2:30 p.m.
The USWNT will hold camp camp from Jan. 17-27 in Carson, where it was scheduled to hold last year’s camp but was forced to move to Florida due to the fires in Pacific Palisades and Altadena.
A second friendly, scheduled for Jan. 27 against an opponent to be named and at a venue to be announced, will conclude the camp, U.S. Soccer said.
“January camp is a vitally important part of our yearly schedule, especially with 2026 being a year that will host World Cup qualifying,” USWNT coach Emma Hayes said. “We don’t get many training days together during any given year, so there is a high value in getting a whole week of training as well as two matches. I was pleased with the progress we made as a team in 2025, but we still have a ways to go to get to where we want to be heading into the Concacaf W Championship in the fall.”
U.S. Soccer also announced that there will be a retirement celebration for Christen Press before the Jan. 24 match. Press, who retired at the end of the NWSL season with Angel City FC, scored 64 goals with the national team. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a Christen Press bobblehead.
The USWNT has has a 19-1-1 record in games played at Dignity Health Sports Park.
Ticket presale for the Jan. 24 game is from Friday to Monday. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The USWNT announced the roster Thursday for games against Italy on Nov. 28 in Orlando and Dec. 1 in Fort Lauderdale.
“It’s been an exciting and important year for our group, and we’ve accomplished a lot of goals, expanded the player pool and made strides in our game model, so this camp will be an extension of that, but it will also set the groundwork for 2026, which will be our World Cup qualifying year,” Hayes said. “Games against top European teams are so valuable as they give us an honest assessment of where we are in our growth as a team, so I know our players with embrace that challenge.”
