November 2025 – Speedo, the world’s leading swimwear brand, has announced a new partnership with GB Deaf Swimming ahead of the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics.
As part of the partnership, Speedo will equip the 11-strong British squad with performance kit and training essentials, including the latest Fastskin racing suits, training swimwear, caps, goggles, towels, and bags. The partnership ensures athletes access to world-class equipment as they prepare to compete on the global stage.
The 2025 Deaflympics, taking place in Tokyo from November 15-26, marks the team’s first Games since 2017, where they brought home three gold and four bronze medals.
Operating independently from the Olympics and Paralympics, the Deaflympics is open exclusively to athletes with a hearing loss of at least 55dB in their better ear. Competitors are not permitted to use hearing aids, cochlear implants, or similar devices during events — meaning all races are conducted without auditory cues such as starting guns or whistles.
